I enjoyed elements of this volume at its core. Such as world building and the parallels between Atlas and Aghul's domain especially. However the dialogue and events in this volume felt unfinished and rushed more often than not. This leads to the story feeling shallow.
The character designs at the beginning of the story felt breathtaking for key characters. But in this volume they felt lacklustre, especially the All Father's.
Lastly, much of the events in this volume strained my suspension of disbelief.
Overall I didn't enjoy this volume, and the series over all, as much as I had hoped I would. It felt rushed overall. While initially I could forgive that in favour of getting the story going, I can't forgive it as much for these later volumes. The story would have benefited from much more room to breathe.
