Strong and interesting premise that I really wanted to enjoy more, but there was SO much forced romance with characters. I feel like more than half the book was just romance being pushed. Some characters will have barely interact and suddenly they're down bad, only giving you context for why later, leaving things just feeling weird and overall just interrupted a lot of the flow because of it. Not enough was really done exploring the tea house or any of the characters they reference in part of it, which I feel like was really needed.
Not sure if I'll be picking up the second book. There's a lot to be desired, just based on how this book is written I don't know if that's something that would be fixed in a second book.
