I like the concept, but the execution is a but clunky.

Well written and well researched. The amount of time the author spent searching for details that history tried to bury is evident. She offers multiple perspectives and insight throughout, but primarily focuses on the one who at the time, didn't legally have a voice: the woman.

I enjoyed this book very much, Elizabeth Packard's story is inspirational.

This book had so much potential but such a poor execution. There was very little plot in the book as a whole, each chapter was a short story that had little relation to the entire book. I loved the concept going into this book and if the author had taken a few of the short stories and expanded them instead of adding more short stories, this book could have been very good. She is clearly skilled as a writer, but this book will be unmemorable for me.

Call me a food nerd, but I loved every page if this book. I'm excited to try more of the recipes, the ones I've tried already were delicious. She writes about the whole process of a variety of vegetables from how it grows to ways to cook it. This is a very farm to table cookbook and will be an invaluable resource for me from now on.

This is not quite what I expected when I started this book. It has all the comforting quaintness you would expect from a classic romance, but the depth in which Hardy takes you into the characters beings is immense. He writes with such a simplistic depth, that you as the reader don't realize how deep into different elements you have gone until they have already trapped you and all you can do is read on. This is the first Thomas Hardy novel I have read and look forward to reading more of his work.

Wonderful, clear, well spoken on a topic that is easy to muddle. This book is absolutely worth the read.

Way better than the movie.

This one was a bit predictable, but still an enjoyable read.

This book is so fascinating and insightful why spices taste the way they do and how you can pair them with others to make a tasty complex combination. I look forward to trying some of these techniques in my own cooking.

Wow, simply wow.

It has been a long time sense I have read a book that you can connect with the characters to the depth that Noa C. Walker has written them, these characters are lifelike and full of depth. This heartfelt story is one of real life and real connection to friends, family, loved ones and strangers. The author has done a great job writing about the joy and pain that accompanies the intangible bond we all have to one another. This book took me on a journey of immense joy to moments of empathetic tears (multiple times).

This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Thank you Noa C. Walker for a piece of written art.

It was informative, but there was so much filler.

A story about hard times and the key factor of persevering through them: love. This book is a roller-coaster of emotion from joy and hope to deep sorrow and loss. Though the story is fictional it is based on true events that occurred in 1930s America. The author provides an enlightening perspective of one of the most difficult times in American history.

I found it somewhat underwhelming and lacking in depth. It was a good casual read, but that's about it.

This is the twin book to Feast of Crows. Both books take place during the same time period, due to the number of characters in the series though each book focuses on a different set of characters. There is some overlap, but because of this format it can be confusing what is going on. If you can keep track the plot then it is a good read and expands the overall plot of the entire series.

This has been my least favorite of the series so far. It was all about side characters and side plots. In the book there were a couple of name changes as well that didn't make sense and were hard to follow. It is still in the realm of GoT but it felt like the outlier of the series thus far.

A good guide for a hard journey

I have read many books on narcissism and how to heal and grow from being raised in it. Unlike this book, most others tend to be solely opinion based and don't understand nearly the depth of the issue. This book provides not only names to issues, but also steps to overcome those issues. I also appreciate that it is more research based rather than tapping into a difficult topic with no background understanding. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has struggled, or struggles, with this.

Written very well. Was not what I expected, in a good way. Definitely recommend reading this book.

I got this from Voracious readers only.

It was an easy read that took place in a setting that is typically uncommon. This book tells the story of a boy and his elephant as their paths cross on an adventure of a lifetime. The author does a good job not only telling the story of his main human character but of the personalities of the elephants. This is a good light quick historical fiction.

One of my alll time favorite authors a d poets.

The setting is aboard a ship, that is apart of a 14 ship convoy, that left Earth 7 generations ago. As they approach the end of their journey, they are no longer in contact with the other ships and more problems arise. The beginning had a slow start and it never seemed to pick up for me. I found this book to be rather plain and unimaginative. It seemed like the purpose of this book was more so to promote a social/political agenda rather than to tell a good story. There was a lack of depth of character and plot, that I really missed. It has great potential to develop into a well written series, but this book alone didn't impress me or make me want to continue in the series.
