This book is so entirely, absolutely, beautiful and visceral. It takes you through so many visuals and so many emotions and it is incredibly written. It really dives deep into your mind, and shows perfectly how they felt. Emotions are so perfectly described.
The way they would act and think and behave being trapped in such a suffocating environment, just to transfer over into their lives, promising that they would never live a life like that again.
I absolutely loved each character's growth, though i was a bit surprised about Maggie, about how she was a very powerful ruler, and she so easily acted her part of subservient, and i thought that it was amazing to find out later that it was all, for the most part, an act on her part. I love Constanta's growth, and i also loved how Alexi started to break down, but never truly became subservient.
overall, this book is absolutely beautiful.. i annotated the HELL out of my book. just the language, and how things are composed is so absolutely breathtaking.

i will be completely honest, An Encore of Roses did make me cry.
It was so lovely, having them all meet back up and explain what they had been doing, and to me, even though it was detailed, it was just about the perfect amount without going into detail about their other lovers. The reason i like that, is because, yes, it would be nice to know more about what went on while they were seperated, however i feel like that would have to be in own seperate story, because this one is about the three of them.
I loved how, even after they broke the shackles of the relationship they were stuck in, in DoB, Alexi still had a lingering fear for a little bit because of that past relationship. and i loved that later, he was able to realize that he was completely safe with them, and he didn't have to worry about wanting.
I was incredibly pleased with the ending, because i feel like it left at the perfect spot, not leaving you completely knowing their end, but leaving you hopeful and guessing enough about what they would be up to until the world's end.
