See allIt was a fine story if you get over the very bland characters and push through to get an understanding of what the heck is going on with the forest. It feels like some of that could have been presented earlier in the book but whatever.
I feel like so much time was spent “learning to control magic” for the first and second daughter for it to end the way it does.
What's the point if the wolf takes all the power and becomes super forest god. Then we don't even get to know what's really happening with the battle as second daughter splits away to find the first daughter.
First daughter is also somehow trapped in a coffin and instead of using her magic she is being used for it? What?
At the end of it I just have questions but no desire to read more to find out if there are answers. I will not be reading the next book in this series.
I really enjoyed the first 5 or so books of this series but they really started falling off in quality toward the end. This last book was honestly not great. It felt like everything was needlessly rushed and split up for some strange reason.
All the previous books it felt that the strength of the druids came in the form of teamwork and yet during the biggest fight of the series two of the Druid's are off on fools quests.
Kind of a let down of an ending.
