First novel. An Amazon recommendation for June 2011. Total amnesia combined with inability to form new memories are the plot devices. The main character wakes up every day wondering where she is and what is going on. By the end of the day she realizes that everything that she's experienced that day will be forgotten in the morning. Who should she trust and why? Been covered multiple times but that doesn't mean this one isn't good. Very well done. Very enjoyable.
Enjoyable followup to “The Magicians”. Not actually necessary to read first book if you just want to read this one which I thought was the more enjoyable of the two. Interwoven timeline works well as the flashbacks give you insight into current plot. Well written fantasy novel. I'm not a huge fantasy novel fan but this was good.
My very first vegetarian cookbook (along with tons of other people). The recipes are whimsically presented and some are quite delicious. I have made them over and over again in some cases (the lentil soup recipe is excellent). Definitely worth owning. It was re-released in later years with some recipes adjusted to cut down on fat - without losing the flavor.
Just a great book of wonderful vegetable and pasta recipes. Well organized (by main vegetable ingredient) and well-indexed. The recipes are delicious, clear and easy to follow. There are definitely things in there that I'm not going to try (potato and pasta? no thanks) but everything that i have tried has been very good.
Second edition of one of the very good books on web usability. Should be required reading for web designers. And, a bonus, its actual easily readable and well written.
