Obsessed doesnt begin to cover how i feel about this book. Everything from the world building the the characters and the complex magic system had me hooked from the start. I love that the book starts off just throwing you right into the middle of chaos and i was hooked from the first line.
Read this series if you like:
-RH
-People with x-men like powers
-Bully romance
-forced proximity
-a diverse group of boys you cant help but fall in love with
I really enjoyed this book, more then book 3 to be honest. I think all the hate for this is really juvenile and uncalled for especially given the fact that there's still 2 book left in the series. If you've loved the last 3 books, I think you will like this one as well.
I loved this book! I'll be honest the plot was kind of all over the place at the beginning but it honed in and i ended up enjoying it a lot! No major plat twists but I loved the enemies to lovers and the BANTER. I know this is allegedly a stand alone but i would LOVE a sequel dealing with the falling out with the humans and watching Opal and Dade navigate rebuilding their kingdom and preventing another war. Like, i'm willing to make sacrifices to any deity out there who can make it happen >.>
4.5/5 stars!
is it bad to say i liked this story more then fbaa? i really loved the parallels and trying to connect this story back to fbaa. I also really loved the new couple! Its refreshing to see a virgin male love interest as opposed to a female one (tho kinda weird given hes like 200 years old at least but who am i to judge?). I know a lot of people have been ragging on this book for the editing and i'll be honest i did not notice any major blunders but im not super attuned to these sort of things. Story wise i thought it was super fun, i loved it and i'm excited for the next one!
How is it possible for this book to be this good? It had zero rights. I went from almost DNFing book 1 5 times to inhaling books 2 and 3. 2022 can not get here soon enough!
Ok I'm not gonna lie it took me about 100 pages to get into this book but holy fuck what a cool story! I'm obsessed and immediately started book 2!
If you loved Neon gods, you'll love its sequel. Psyche and Eros are perfect and the story is binge worthy! I read this all in one sitting and i enjoyed every second of it. Im so excited for the next book!
this was everything that was promised and more. It feels like Scarlett's writing has matured so much from when i first read a touch of darkness and i'm here for it! The story is compelling, the characters are great, and im left here wanting so much more!
So I picked this up because I loved river of shadows and I'm always down for vampires and while I didn't absolutely adore it like river of shadows I did enjoy reading it and will pick up the next book. The spice was great and I did really love the characters. My biggest issue with this book was that it felt very anticlimactic and I feel like nothing really interesting happened, it felt like a very long set up for a story that I'm excited to read but didn't really need all of this. Idk. I wish there had been something more towards the end to thicken the plot. I will be reading the next one tho so hoping it'll be more exciting!
Thanks to Netgalley and City Owl Press for sending me an ARC in exchange for my my honest feedback!
This book was a fun read for me. I was instantly hooked by the vampire hunter/vampire enemies to lovers arc i knew i was about to embark on but the mystery of the story as a whole was what kept me reading. This is def more of a mystery/fantasy sort of story with a SPRINKLE of romance. Like the tension is there but it doesnt go further then kissing. The book is pretty graphic violence wise but its a book about vampires so its to be expected. The characters were fun and i had no idea where the story was going but i enjoyed every second of the ride. My only real complaint is that i was left wanting more at the end and i'm not sure if this is the first in the series or not but i have so many questions (further explained in the spoilers)!
Spoilers from here on out*
So this book def felt like it was setting up for more books to come and if thats the case i am here for it! If not though, i have so many questions about the ending and the characters. First of all, I need to know more about how Vic and Alyse became friends and why her dad is so chill about some single dude hanging with his equally single daughter all the time? The dynamic there was never really explained and i'm a little confused. I also dont understand Alyse's ending and whats driving her and i would love to know more. Also, i have no idea what Johnathan is supposed to be at the end? I felt like that entire part was poorly explained unless i missed something. And what are they gonna do in New York? Why did Alyse go to boston instead? What is the society's real end game? I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS! I'm really hoping this will be a series because of all these things that were left unanswered. Also, i would love to watch Vic and Jonathan's relationship grow since we only scratched the surface of it all in this book!
Omg what in the actual f*ck???? THE STORY PICKED UP SOOOOO MUCH! Im so glad I didn't dnf the first book, this one was so good!
I received an ARC of this book for my honest review so thank you to Caroline and Susanne!
Ok so i was not aware i was into mafia serial killer reverse harems dark romances but the twisted sisters have proven me wrong. This whole duology is way more fun then it had the right to be between the character's internal monolog to the chaotic plot and dialog. Im here for it and would honestly read 50 novelas about these psychos if the authors wanted to keep writing lol. There are tons of references to their other works which is super funny.
second book is way more spicy then the first but this was a fantasic conclusion to this story!
I had a blast reading it!
This is the cutes thing omg where has this webcomic been all my life? I need vol 2 asap!
Ok im def interested in this story especially after the ending! Like most first books, I felt like the beginning dragged a bit but I know it's the world building and setting the mood of the story. I'm finishing this book with more questions then answers bit I'm pumped for book 2!
I think the 3rd one is still my favorite but this one was a close second! I mean if youre enjoying this series, you'll like this one lol cant wait for the next one!
Super freaking cute and fluffy! A great short novella that I very much enjoyed while sunbathing over the weekend. My only complaint is that it was fade to black lol
I read this entire book in one evening, as in I stayed up till 3am finishing it last night. Is it a masterpiece? No. Is it fun and sexy and extremely distracting? Absolutely.
Thank you to Netgalley and NYC publishing for sending me an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
That was ok. I don't think this book was really my cup of tea. Objectively it wasn't bad but I didn't exactly enjoy reading it. Its a very quick read but it was sort of just meh for me. The majority of the story takes place with the MCs internal monolog and flash backs and the story over all felt a bit anticlimactic. If you are into Greek retellings you might enjoy this but this was sorted for me
It def came through as hocus pocus but with a bit of spice! super cute and fun Halloween read!
I'm not gonna lie, I almost DNFed this at about 50% but everyone was raving about it so I stuck it out and now I am HOOKED. That ending? Amazing. I can't wait to start book 2
