2442 Steps To Crazy - The Beginning

This book was very painful to read - I had to take my time with it and process everything that was happening. It's a story that follows a little boy that grows up in a very, very abusive household, with a tyrannical step father and a mother that is afraid of leaving with her kids, so they all suffer for years and years. We watch this little boy grow up and become stronger, fall in love and find his passion, all while struggling at home, being beaten and verbally abused. I liked the book, it was very eye-opening and heartbreaking, but I know that there are so many people out there who are going through what this family was going.
