This was a nice pallet cleanser. It was sweet, funny and an overall good time.

Sabrina is on break from her new fiance, David. He thought they should take time to really feel the relationship. Jack, the boss' son, is given the task to emotionally grow up if he wants to move up in the ranks at work. Jack proposes that Sabrina and him fake date/fake get engaged to show his dad/board members emotional growth and get David jealous enough to realize what he is missing out on.

The cuteness flowed from there. The two gradually become friends and learn each others quirks, strengths and weakness. They enjoy one another as people and eventually want to become the real thing. I do wish Sabrina would have been given a promotion and not a raise.

There is little angst and little to really work through, which is fine. Every now and then we need a very simple no stakes read. (Even when there were stakes it didn't feel as one).

There are no sexy times. This ain't that kind of read. Just saying.

I received this ARC from Entangled Publishing via Netgalley in exchange for a honest review. Final read was made via Hoopla via audio.
