I really hate to romanticize organized crime, but I wanted to see what everyone was gushing about. This was a nice story. There was a genuinely nice balance between the romance, the business, the other business and the family dynamics. I liked some characters more than others, but none were overly annoying. As with all things Chicago, there were so many discrepancies. I have decided to ignore that it's Chicago and pretend it's somewhere else. For example: The mayor of Chicago does not have jurisdiction over surrounding townships and villages that make up the suburbs of Chicago. They each have their own mayor and their own zoning guidelines. It is a pet peeve because it would have taken a whole 5 mins of research to figure that out. (It messes with my head because I'm trying to make sense of things in my head and they don't fit because it's not the way it is. I start thinking I've missed something.)
So yeah, moving forward this story takes place in Metropolis.
