You're instructors must be so proud of you then, Iridium.

Seriously, I read that and thought ‘yay!' And then a few pages later, she uses the same type of bad language three times in less than two pages. Honestly, I don't like curses and foul language in the books I read and I certainly don't see any need for it - but I can deal with it most of the time.

Take a look at The Lies of Locke Lamora. There's tons of curses in that book and, while I didn't love it, I did finish it. But you see, there's a huge difference here, that book never had the sort of ‘cursing' this one does.

To make you understand, let's say it's the ‘taking God's name in vain' sort of language - and no, using less terms less common to the English language for God does not make it better.

Seriously, without that, I think I could have loved the book, so this is just a shame. Also, if this doesn't bother you and you like superheroes, you might give it a go.
