This is what it says on the tin - an essay collection featuring black joy in different ways. Each of the writers talked about what it meant to them - from concerts to nature to pride. It was all encompassing and inspirational. I say inspirational.... But really it left me feeling unaccomplished reading about how amazing they all were! That's me, but in reality this book is very uplifting to black youth, encouraging readers to prioritise what makes them happy.
