I'm glad that my therapist recommended me this memoir. I've heard of DBT therapy from previous therapists but I never knew about the origins of DBT therapy from Marsha M. Linehan who once was hospitalized at the psychiatric ward to going to medical school at Loyola University and creating DBT therapy after years of research. Though the therapy was originally for borderline personality disorder (BPD), I'm glad that DBT therapy is now used for everything from anxiety, depression, and self-acceptance.
