Robert Slams it out of the park yet again! I firstly want to thank NetGalley, Bookouture, and Robert Bryndza for a ARC copy of Deadly Secrets, with the awesome Erika Foster. The only issue I had was that it was over. I think this has to be my favorite so far. There will be more won't there????
This installment is yet another fast-paced, dark, chilling, and gripping police procedural thriller that grabbed my attention immediately and held it right until that thrilling and unexpected ending. I like many other readers will warn you that you shouldn't start this book if you do not have time to finish it. Have always enjoyed Erika Foster books I feel like I am watching a movie and can't stop. There was a big change in this novel you as a reader got the chance to see the softer side of Erika Foster. The short chapters make it a much more fun experience and each case is unique and individual you don't feel like you're reading the same thing in each installment which makes it fun. This book begins with a murder of a young woman. The next morning, a mother wakes up to find her blood-soaked body frozen to the ground. Who would commit such a murder so close to the victim's home? Erika Foster is called to the scene and quickly learns that there have been a series of assaults close to the neighborhood where the young woman was killed. As the case progresses you find out that all the people on the victim's life. have a different opinion of who she was. I love that Erica typically a one man show but we got a little bit more of Moss in the mix and that was a lot of fun to see. Robert books are typically like an onion you have layers and layers of mystery. This book is the perfect read for those who love mystery's, thrillers, police procedural, etc. The scenes are not overly graphic, so they should not turn off the majority of readers. If this is your first book by Robert Bryndza welcome to the fold. If you are coming back for more next stop book 7. 5 Deadly addictive stars from me.
