While I didn't like this one quite as much as I liked the first book in the series, it was still a fun ride!! It was interesting to see more of the urban fantasy worldbuilding in this book as we got to delve into vampires and find out a bit about their nature and abilities. Sinclair and Royce were very cute together as well.
Overall though, I feel like this book was a bit rushed. We didn't spend a lot of time on anything really and while I'll say the ending felt full circle and it ended pretty much exactly how you wanted it too, we just didn't get enough time in the world or with the characters for it to be fully satisfying. It also should be noted that Sinclair is really what you see in movies when you get an ‘old-fashioned' vampire. He talks and acts in a way that's mostly old-fashioned, down to not really knowing how to use “newfangled technology.” I didn't mind too much but it's something to keep in mind if it's not something you're into.
A good time!
