Open Season

I started this book slowly, but after a few pages, I was captivated. Game Warden Joe Pickett has an interesting job. He has a wife he loves, two young daughters and a new baby on the way. The story has several interesting events; his daughters sees monsters, a man is murdered and an endangered species may be living close near his home. Joe is crossed by some powerful people he thought were friends, and must gain back control of his life and family. When I got near the end of the book, I couldn't put it down.
