This is possibly the best book on living with depression and anxiety that I've read yet. It was so insightful and deep, and Haig managed to put into words everything about depression that I couldn't figure out how to say. He perfectly captures how depression and anxiety work and affect you so deeply and how difficult they are to live with. I loved his insights into that aspect, and I also really appreciated his honesty about how difficult recovery is. It's an extraordinarily long and arduous process of getting better, and you really never completely recover 100% anyway. This book just perfectly put into words everything that needed to be said about depression and anxiety, and I really am going to try to get my family and friends who had to deal with me at my worst to read this so that they know what it's like in case they ever start feeling like this too and know that it's nothing to be ashamed of.
