Came across this book unintentionally at a thrift store. I knew nothing about this author and have recently become more interested in reading. After reading the synopsis, I was intrigued due to the fact I have a grandmother with a form of alzheimer's, enjoy painting as Ashley does, and my Dad's birthday is also on 9/11. So I read it. It was a little slow and confusing at first because I didn't realize I was reading a part 2 of a series until I was already halfway through the book. But I became enthralled with some of the characters, and although no other fictional book has ever made me cry, once I got to page 333, I cried. A lot.
If you love clean romance with a heartfelt meaning behind it, then this is the book for you.
Will certainly be reading more of this series in the future.
