I loved this easy-read of a suspense story. I read the whole thing in a few hours while Kelsey and Jake survive unimaginable things only to face worse ones, again and again. I think if it had been a regular-length novel it could have reached five stars pretty easily, but there were a few parts where I could have done with more description and where it seemed like the action just moved too fast (like the days in the woods, where the action went hop-skip and the events barely had time to be told) and the ending was rushed (hey, I need more payoff than that!). Otherwise I really loved this little story and I especially liked how Goddard wove the 23rd Psalm throughout Kelsey's narrative.
