This is a wonderful amazing read. I admire the author's flowing use of words. The story led me to deep interesting thoughts. I was reminded that the world is a wondrous place with understandable and hard to understand magic. Annika must navigate an increasingly dangerous path on her way to helping others deal with a complicated mystery. Her job starts off as a simple translating contract, but turns into so much more. The story is a slow build, my patience was rewarded by the paths taken by the characters. Annika must make decisions, identifying the trustworthy characters she encounters. Give this one a try if you are ready for an adult story with a mystical mystery flavor. I would recommend to readers of high school age and up.
