A post-apocalyptic novel told from the perspective of an peaceful housekeeping robot. Not what I originally imagined when I first picked up this book. Though it takes a while for the MC to come to terms with "his" new reality, the story does a great job of depicting how an A.I. can go from following it's programming to finding it's purpose. The naivety of the MC does seem a bit grating at times, but that is more a reflection on me thinking as a human than anything against the MC. The pacing is slow, but this doesn't hurt the conclusion of the story. A well written first book in what looks to be an entertaining new series.
