I picked up this book since I was looking for a small-town contemporary romance. And I wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed the cast of characters, the setting in a small town in Maine and the plot.
I liked both Ren and Griffin and was rooting them along as they tried to figure out their relationship. I laughed at their first meeting and got choked up when they hit that eventual rough patch on their road to happily ever after. The secondary characters were a hoot and I can't wait to revisit them in future books in the series.
The narrators were good. I liked having both the male and female narrators as the chapters in the book flip flopped between Ren and Griffin's POVs. The one downside was that I wasn't completely sold on some of the voices that were used to distinguish between the characters, but it was easy enough to get past.
I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series, which was hinted at during the epilogue. And I'd be willing to listen to books narrated by William LeRoy and Reese Covington as well. All-in-all, I enjoyed the story and performances.
