This was a short novel about a princess who was cursed at birth to lose all her gravity. This means she is unable to stay on the ground, and she is also unable to be serious in any situation. The story follows all the humorous and touching attempts to restore the princess's gravity to her.

I listened to this on an audiobook, and the narration was really well done. The narrator, Cynthia Bishop, was able to capture George MacDonald's wry wit in his prose, which was very fun. And although there was one creepy scene involving the witch, I enjoyed the whole thing. Another highly recommended fairy tale from George MacDonald.
