Overall the book wasn't too shabby; I just thought that the glorification of the song “Yesterday” was a tad over the top.

A very good read; pretty quick, easy read, yet the style of writing was nice and relaxed, kind of like swimming in syrup...I watched the movie a few times first and of course there were some changes....think I like the book better.

This book was actually a pretty good read. The cover is what initially caught my eye (I know, that's not what you should judge on...); there are also really great illustrations at each chapter. There's a bit of adventure, mystery, suspense, and stuff about plants, Brazilian natives and wacky creatures...a different book, but still good.
