2⭐

I finished this book back in January and gave it 2.75⭐ thinking about it now even 2⭐ is too good for the book or the characters

Seriously, the FMC was sooooo bland, boring and has no problem being with a married man.
Don't let me start with the MMC, I don't care if he doesn't love his wife or not share a bed with her, you're nonetheless married to her, if u want Greta, u should've fought for her harder from the beginning or refused to be bonded with another person u do not wish to continue your life with

It's weird that an author feels okay to promote such things

This is the first book I read in the 2nd generation and from it, I don't think I am going to read Nevio and Aurora's book, and I am excited for Alessio and Isabella's book

4⭐

This book was a good read. I liked how Logan realized his mistake, how he finally understood that Lana was actually Victoria, and that all the horror Victoria went through really happened to his girlfriend, that she's not a proxy killer; she is the real victim. The way Logan reacted after realizing this showed that he truly loved her.

I hated that Lana had to go through an emotional breakdown because she thought Logan was different, that he wouldn't silence her like everyone else did. But, unfortunately, even though he knew his mistake right after, he still silenced her just like the others had.

Overall, it was a good conclusion to the series. The way Jake and Lana stood up to the whole town so they won't be silence again and speak out against injustice was a strong and important message.

The ending made sense. I didn't figure out who the real killer for the murders Lana's father was framed was until the last chapters. How Lana and Jake uncovered the truth and punished the killer was well done. They didn't kill him, they did what is worse than killing.

The fact that Logan killed the real killer, even though he was dying, was powerful. It showed Lana that he was truly on her side, that he wasn't just siding with her, but was fully committed and no longer part of the FBI.

Favorite Quotes:

Love is not supposed to be beautiful. It's supposed to be a raw, gritty struggle that forces you to face the most vulnerable parts of yourself, so that when the good times come, you can savor and enjoy them, fully appreciate what they're worth. Otherwise, you take it all for granted.

Fuck the list. It's time for the endgame.

“My name now doesn't really matter. But once upon a time, people called me Victoria Evans.”

“In case you haven't heard...I don't die too easily.”
