4.5/5: My favorite quote is:
“Young girls need to see role models in whatever careers they may choose, just so they can picture themselves doing those jobs someday. You can't be what you can't see.”
–Sally Ride
A timely book for all of us to reflect on, share, and learn from each other!
Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced eChapter: Books.
This was a required read during HS - I have not re-read it since then...I did like it at the time, but have little memory of the story.
Destined to become a dystopian classic! I was swept up with the main protagonists, and was kept guessing until the end of the book!
I recall it being extremely bleak, and one of the first dystopian novels I ever read - along with 1984, Brave New World, and Fahrenheit 451. I prefered the other 3 novels over Level 7.
A new classic!
Windows has the sumptuous feel of previous picture book classics, such as Ezra Jack Keats.
I predict that Julia Denos will be a Caldecott winner someday!
3.5/5
Gloria's grit, the support of her family, and finding love, allows her to finally live her truth.
Thanks to NetGalley for an eARC.
I laughed out loud again and again at the antics of Lola and Charlie. Lauren Child “gets” kids, parents, and canines!

Re-reading for the 2nd time & our first pick for our Movable Feast Book Group @ CPL.
I could not put this book down, but was disgusted with the ending. Many twists and turns, but I ended up disliking both of the main characters. I will not be reading any more of Gillian Flynn's novels.
