When I requested this, I didn't expect a short chapter book for children. I thought I was getting a picture book, which I think would be a much better choice for these stories. There are only three illustrations.  They are very nice. With more,I think it would greatly add to the book.

The stories, there are three of them, are funny. I liked the first best. It is about King Garnet and his legs that won't quit growing. 

This could be a very good book with changes. I would rate this much higher if it were three books it more illustrations. The way it sits is just so-so for me.

This is fucking awesome. Panty dripping sex scenes with alpha males, lots of paranormal, lots of drama, all done Warden style. What a trip.

This is really nice. The reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that I really wish that the pages were nly printed in one side. Other than that, I really love this coloring adventure in Wonderland. The story is nicely depicted, and I if I were to see just the coloring parts, I would instantly know that this is abut Alice's adventures. I have two other coloring books featuring Alice, this one stands out, and is the nicest.

 

The pictures are very detailed, and are in the same fashion as the cover. There are nine chapters in this, and it totals just under eighty pages. This is put together very well, and is of a higher quality than most adult coloring books. 

I really wanted to just love this book from the minute I opened the box it was shipped in. I really hate writing a review that is not positive. I want say negative because there were some good times.

Hidden lands accessed through a keyhole in a curio cabinet, porcelain figures that are really alive, and a strong girl with the opportunity and means to save the world from a controlling power that isn't ideal in any way. What's not to like?

The way the story is written is confusing at times. It seems that the author has a knack for writing a sentence that doesn't make sense until you read the following sentence. A sentence would be referring to a certain character, but i wouldn't know who that character was until their name was finally provided in a later part of the scene. I have seen this technique work in books with very strong character developement, sadly this book does not have that. If this were fixed, I would increase the rating by an entire star. To top that off the world building was nonexistent.

There were parts of this where the writing was great. The grammar was fine, and no major editing flaws stood out. This author can write, but this feels Iike a story that had not gone through the entire process of being polished and perfected. With a rewrite, or two, I would give this another shot because the description is very appealing.

I won a copy of this on Goodreads. I wasn't going to review this, but I was constantly being reminded to do so through my email box.

This was not a long book, but a heavy story. In this the author has created not only a story, but also what I hope is an eye opening experience to readers. I know it was to me. We delve into the laws surrounding bdsm type relationships. Let me tell you, some of them completely take away ones rights to personal preference. Some of it is still bouncing around in my head while I try to digest it all.

The story is bridged nicely with the first book, The Companion, also a great book that gives reader a look into a realistic bdsm relationship, not just whips, chains, and orgasms. The first book focused mainly on the submissive side of the relationship, this one follows a dominant new to The Scene (what the bdsm community refers to itself as). The main character is in a normal everyday relationship, but wants to understand how her friend is happy in a bdsm relationship. Well, she gets schooled. There are bumps along the way.

This is not hard core kink. Yes, there is some ugly bumping, but it's not the main focus. There is a lot of understanding to be gained from reading this. Some of this may give you uncomfortable feelings, and push you to really open your mind. I took a step back about halfway through the book to really survey my own marriage. In doing so, I realized that while I may not be a player in The Scene, but there is a dominant role, and a submissive role that both my husband and I play. Yes, that role bounces back and forth sometimes, but it's there.

The writing is top notch, but that doesn't surprise me when it come to this author, she has successfully written in this genre, and science fiction as well. It is obvious that this is written by someone well studied in the culture, it shows in neon lights. 

This is high on my list of book recommendations. Especially to anyone curious about what it really is like to be in this type of relatiknship, for anyone wanting a little more understanding. 

This is romantic comedy. By comedy, I mean in your face, laugh outloud. The romance is not the sweet, sentimental kind. It's more like shitty relationships, with shitty choices thrown.

Two of the main characters are having slumps in their sex life and make a deal a witch. They land themselves in Sex Hell. A place of great sex, but without all the feels. They desperately want out of their agreement with the witch, but how?


This is full of hilarius, ackward situations. If you aren't a fan of books containing graphic sex, this isn't for you. Don't go into this hoping for a sappy love story.

Wow! I really didn't think I would like this, but it was a really good read. This is literary fiction, and it isn't my normal genre. I have encountered very few books in this genre that I like.

There are skme things about this that I think readers should be forewarned about.  The main character is raped by another man. If this is something that you think will bother, stay away.

Could you imagine walking around a foreign country, broke, no identity, and only the clothes on your back? It would be terrifying. Add to that that you are the victim of a homosexual rape. Police are out of the question. What would you do? Rudy, the main character, experiences all this. It makes for a very eye opening read.

This is a sweet book at 32 pages long. It is intended for readers between the ages of 4 and 8. 

First I want to talk about the content. I find myself using the, “I brought you into this world...” more often then I care to admit. This story is the other side of that. It tells a child the joys that becoming a mother has brought them, and how it has changed them. Every part of this is so true to how I feel about being a mother. I really like this. The very last page was wonderful.

The story is simple, and consists of about one sentence per page. The reading levels stays consistent throughout.

The illustrations are consistent to the cover art.

SHOULD BE TITLED “JOURNEY, OF TYPOS AND OTHER BULLSHIT.”

A big, fat DNF for this one. The blurb alone should have warned me, but I figured I would give it a shot. One star for the halfway decent cover.

I didn't expect this book to be a pretty as it is. It took a while to convince myself to actually color it. I wanted to put it in my bookcase and never touch it because I love the way this thing looks. There is an elastic band that goes around it to keep it closed making it great to throw into a bag and take it places with you. It has an attatched ribbon bookmark. This makes it stand out so much from  other coloring books that I have seen.

We all know, or are at least familiar with Grimm's Fairy Tales. What makes this particular edition special is that it is illustrated. I like the way this is done. The graphics are mostly black and white (a few color too), and slightly dark in nature to match the story.

Recommendation:

I don't recommend this for really young readers. As I said above, these graphics have a dark quality to them. I could see a child easily being frightened by them. This is the nicest version of these tales that I have read. The illustrations really add to the stories.

This was the first book I have read by this author. I liked it, and that says something considering that I am not normally a huge fan of time travel romance. I requested this based on it being a paranormal romance novel featuring shifters.

I really liked the parts where Mairi is showing Ronan about the new world. The author told a story of a curse only being lifted by true love, not very original, but the author made it unique. The romance was sweet, but maybe a bit too sweet for my tastes. 

I really recommend reading the first two books in the series before ju,ping into thismone. I really feel like my opinion of this may have been even better had I started from the beginning.

This is nice. The graphics are nice, I do wish that had been a bit brighter. I am very happy to say that there sees not to be any missing parts of Alice adventure. I applaud that they were Abe to accomplish this. It greatly reminds me of Disney cartoon version, only a bit older maybe.

I especially liked the depicting of tea time with the Mad Hatter and the Hare. The Caterpillar on the mushroom was nice too.

This to me seems like a much easier to read version for younger readers. I remember read the original at nine years old. It was a daunting task, but being the book nerd I was (and still am), I tackled the task head on. I was an unusual child though, and I think this will be a better choice for children not up to the page length and story, but who want to experience these adventures in written style. My seven year old son and I really enjoyed this together.

When I started this book, I had no idea what to expect. I didn't even remember signing up for the giveaway on Goodreads. I was very pleasantly surprised by this.

I lked this, but had to read the first chapter twice because it was easier to understand after I knew what was going on. In this we have two different settings. One is the real world, the other is a virtual reality. There is a lot of action in this, and the author write those scenes very well.

The world Phillip Reeve has created is AWESOME. Not since the Potter books has a book held my interest as well as this one did. I was completely surprised by how much i love this book. I have hopes that there will be a book two. It is a standalone, but there is so much possibility with the way this ended.

This book is set in the future and follows a young, poverish thief named Zen. Zen is a railhead and lives to ride in these trains that run from portal to portal around the universe were society has settled (kinda like gojng down a pipe in Super Mario Bros video games). We have trains that think on there own, an android designed to be humanlike (Raven) , groups of insects hive together that form a sort of very intellegent creature, and so much more.

This book starts out great and doesn't let up until the end. I love the relationship between Zen and Raven. I love the trains, I love them alot. It is young adult, but that didn't stop me from loving this at 33 years of age.

I recommend this to anyone who likes sci/fi or fantasylooking to lose themselves in an easy to read book. This is easily in my top ten books of all time.

The pictures of the little felted pups that this book instructs you on how to build are so cute. The instructing are clear and simple to understand. There are colored photos that go along with the instructions, they are a big help. The book is a nice size, not like some other instructional craft books that are bulky, and hard to hold with one hand.  

My eleven year old has a craft project of choice due in about a month, she is going to try to make a few of these. The first ine we have already started together. If the whole process is as simple as I expect, she will finish the others on her own. I would post a picture of our progress, but she took it to school to work on it during study hall. The only downfall for me is that the nearest craft/sewing store is a half hour drive from me, and wool is not something I keep on hand.

This book will have me thinking about for some time to come. It ended in a way that leaves so many possibilities, but it didn't piss me off. I think it was perfect.

We have a girl, Jamie, who is a big time reader. She donates her time at a used bookstore to get discounts on books from the store. While helping the owner she finds a book by an author she had never heard of. After taking the book home she finds out it is very unusual. I have really loved books, but never as much as Jamie loves this one.

This is a short story, around 50 pages, but the price is good, $.99. I really like this author's writing, this is the second story I have read by him, and both were very good. I highly recommend his work.

Another good book by Mr. Cash. After reading his YA novel Monsterland, I was curious to see if he would be a one hit wonder, or if i would enjoy other books he wrote as well. I am very impressed and will recommend this to my friends who read. I will definitely be reading more of this author's work.

This is dark fantasy. It is no secret that I am partial to books in this genre. It is novella length and I am amazed at the amount of story the author was able to pack into that length. I in no way feel like I read a “simple story” like I often do when reading a novella.

I am a little behind on this series and jumped a few books for this one. To be honest, I completely forgot about this series until I read this. Now I can't figure out why I didn't stay up to date on it. I really like this.

In this installment we get a man released from jail after being able to prove his innocence after quite a bit of time in prison. We are talking years and years in jail. He has always healed really fast from injury, and seems not to age like other humans. Well, he is not human, but he doesn't know. He is approached by a group of men who claim to be different just like he is. They also claim that they are aliens (I know, it sounds silly, but I promise it is good). He writes them off as whack jobs, at first. He meets a cute female doctor at a local clinic after injuring his hand at his new job at a local watering hole. She fixes him up and sends him on his way, but he can't seem to keep himself away from her.

This is VERY well written, and held my interest really well. I love the chemistry the two main characters have. I genuinely cared for both of them and really enjoyed their happily ever after story. The pacing is nice and to the point with just enough details to make it enjoyable.

Recommendation:

For fans of this series and other paranormal romance books, not just this book, but the whole series. I will definitely be reading the few books I missed.

I am so glad I read this. It is written in Diary/Journal entries from different a few children/teenagers and bounces between each of their perspectives. There are drawings added that really helped to add to each of the enteries.

Some of the topics will make you laugh, cry, and really think about what it is like to live in close proximity to someone with dementia. In no way is it easy. I loved how each of these children were able to look past the bad and try to remember “good” times. 

This is split into sections and at the end of these sections is an activities section with suggestions that are intended to educate and help cope. Some of these ideas are very good and will help give a child the feeling of being involved and hopefully make it easier for them accept their situation. 

I really feel that this would help any child in a situation where Dementia has made an impact on their life. It also may help an older person (parent, grandparent, etc) understand how it effects a child, and how a child views what Dementia is. I give this my highest recommendation.

This has places where you can write so all of your choices are nice and tidy. The links to blogs are nice. The descriptions of actually weddings that people have had are inspirational and are full of great ideas. All in all I recommend this to anyone planning a wedding on a budget. The “under $5000” limit is more excessive than what most of the example weddings cost.

I do admit that most of the ideas in this are commonsense ideas that can be found with a Google search, but having the sites and services already listed and explained is a great time saver. A friend of mine is getting married for the second time and she isn't very internet savvy. This book has helped to point her in the right direction and saved her plenty of frustrated hours searching the internet for ideas and inspiration. She is also very organized, it is crazy how organized she is,  and the way the book is played out coincidentally matched the way she had organized her binder. This is the perfect book to push her in the right direction. The ideas she has gotten from this book have already helped to save her over $500.

The recipes and food recommendations are great.

My recommendation:

If you're are confident in your internet skills and have the extra time to research on your own, you probably will not find much use of this. If you don't have the time or the skills to do the research yourself, this will be a big help.

This is a collection of photographs of LEGO designs by a variety of designers. It is the third installment in a series of books containing LEGO designs. Some of these are completely amazing. I love the details. There are a couple replicas from Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit that really impressed me. I also want to comment on a monarch butterfly model that took an amazing number of pieces to complete. I zoomed in on my tablet until the blocks were actual size, it is much larger than I thought.

The reason I picked this up is because my son has become a LEGO lover. He really enjoyed looking at this book and now is asking for a variety new LEGO sets.

I HATE IT WHEN AN AUTHOR USES THE WORD “CUNT” DURING SEXY TIMES. IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT SEXY!

We have a girl who is human but has ancestors who have successfully been able to be turned into a werewolf who is capable of producing offspring, not very common. For some reason the werewolf population has a shortage of born werewolves. Yep, that story again. Anyways, the alpha of a pack (not near my kindle and forgot the name) has recognized said girl as mate. He has a weaker, less controlled wolf protecting her but has given the order that he doesn't want her “changed” yet. Well weak wolfie loses control of his beast, what a surprise, and he attacks alphas mate while still human and she is now infected with the werewolf virus (or whatever it is called). He than basically has her held against her will, but it's for her own good because the full moon is in a few nights. And blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

I figured I would give this a shot. There are only a few authors who can still entertain me with a shifter/were stiryline. I used to read a lot of Lauren Dane, but her books got to the point where they felt like I was reading the same book over and over. Ugh...

That being said. This is full of cheesy romance and make me gag dialogue. The alpha wasn't very alpha, but I did like the girl... sort of. Well, I didn't want to rip her face off anyways. I skipped the f*ck scenes after the “C” word was used so I can't comment too much.

People new to this author will probably enjoy this. Die hard Dane fans will like this. If you want a new storyljne, avoid this!

This is nice. I love the way this book is put together. I have other coloring books made just like this one and they are all amazing. Bright white paper that is thick, printed on both sides. The cover is cute. It has an actual dust jacket making it sturdy and giving it a nice quality look. This book is quite a bit larger than I expected, and the page count is also higher than anticipated.

The pictures themselves are nice. The are hand drawn, so don't expect crisp lines. In my opinion this makes for a great finished product because of its uniqueness. This sure to appeal to anyone who loves to color and has a love for domestic house cats.

My Prismacolor colored pencils work well on these, as do my gel pen. The cheaper Crayola colored pencils actually work better than I thought they would. I haven't tried my watercolor pencils yet, but I expect good results.

I am having a blast using different colors for the cats fur then blending them together. I have had some really awesome results.

I will definitely be seeing what other products are available by the same publisher. All three that I have are very nice.

This was a solid story. We get a girl, Aithne, who wants to save her sister from a vampire king who has captured her. In order to do this she must capture a male dragon shifter. Dragon shifter is mated to a witch. In order to get close to this man she makes friends with her target's mate's witchy sisters. These witchy sisters are special because not more than one female is ever born to a family, all other children are male. Well, long story short. There is another dragon shifter, Viktor, who houses and protects these witchy sisters. From the moment Aithne and Viktor meet there are sparks, literal sparks as in static electricity, or so they thought that ie what it was...

I like that there are a variety of different species of paranormal character: witches, vamoires, shifters, and some guy who can do something called “shadowing.” This is a standalone book that has an ending, I love that part. The character developement was very good and the world that the author built was intriguing.

There are a lot of characters to keep straight. It became a little confusing. I feel that this is growing to be a big series, so the character introduction may be for a reason. There are things I think could use a little tweaking. The way some of the sentences are worded felt, to me, like they could have been shortened and would have had a better flow. At times, the dialogue also felt a bit lengthy.

All things considered, I will read the next book in the series (if there is one) and decide from there if I will continue after that. I just realized that this is the second book in the series, maybe that would have helped me to keep the characters straight if I had read it. I am assuming it is Chase's (the target shifter) book.
