Full Tilt is a fantastic coming of age story, filled with imaginative setpieces, with a beautiful story of overcoming your fears, traumas, and self doubt. A literal storytelling manifestation of the phrase "the only way out is through". The characters are consistently engaging and I could barely put it down because I needed to get to the next development.
I read this a long time ago in middle or high school and had forgotten alot of this. But coming back to it as an adult might have actually improved my experience with it. I really picked up on the subtle nuances of Shusterman's storytelling this time around and loved the resolution.
So damn good, hope someone wisens up and snaps up the rights to this.

Now, what did we learn class? If you find a piece of paper with words in a language you do not recognize, perhaps abstain from reading them aloud.
LOVED this. Definitely top tier Goosebumps. Fantastic finale.

I was OBSESSED with this series of books as a kid and revisiting the first was such a treat. Relatable (I am a child of divorce), fun, imaginative, and with a good heart and message. I might keep re-reading these even after Old School April ends.

Definitely a top 3 Fear Street book. I adored the atmosphere in this, loved the characters, really enjoyed the way Stine guided us through the plot, the reveals (even his trademark chapter endings) and the finale was a whopper. A real barn burner, very tense and well paced.
On the topic of the characters, I really loved Terry and Niki as our leads and their relationship dynamic was adorable and investing. I also really liked the dynamic Stine struck with Terry and Alex. Their broken friendship and its viability tested. The resolution is really satisfying.

A solid goosebumps yarn! Really enjoyed the character dynamic, always relatable with the petty contests and sibling abrasiveness. Such a breezy and fun read!
