My friend, who's about as fond of this series as a cat is of water, somehow predicted it, but even her crystal ball couldn't prepare me for the disappointment.

Okay, let's talk highlights:
1.Tairn and his humor? Absolute lifesavers
2.Andarna? she indirectly inherited tairn's traits. Change my mind.
3.Mira Sorrengail? Badassery personified.
4.Xaden? Intriguing, to say the least. He deserves better
But Violet Sorrengail? Let's just pretend she took a vacation to Bermuda triangle, shall we?

As for the rest, it felt like Yarros was trying to stretch the story like a piece of gum that's lost its flavor.

What is going to happen in book 3? Is this series gonna reduce to ashes like other ‘ tiktok sensation ‘ books too?
