đ§ 2026 Reread: Cameron Hawke. I still adore him and want to wrap him in a hug.
Story wise? This time around I was much more annoyed with the FMC.

February 2026 Re-Read: This brought back memories! 10 years ago I loved this story... let's see what I think now!
January 2016: Why was this book only 50 pages?!
I read this in just one sitting and absolutely loved it! First, let me offer up some praise for the author's development of Katelynn and how she is a strong woman and one who does not give everything up for Finn. As a feminist, I greatly appreciate stories like this! Moreover, I loved reading how Katelynn handled working in a male dominated industry (sports journalism). I hope the rest of the books in the series live up to this!

The female lead had me laughing nonstop with her sharp wit and hilarious personalityâshe carried so much of the charm in this story. While I really enjoyed the ride, I'll admit the ending left me more frustrated than satisfied.

I went in completely invested and loving Holt's charismatic vibe, but I couldn't connect with the rest of the cast. Harmony, in particular, left me frustrated. By the finale she seemed indifferent when Holt clearly needed more care and affection, which pulled me out of the story.Â

Oh, Lincoln and Indy, you had my whole heart... until the end. What started as a story full of charm and chemistry (almost rivaling The Change Up) left me surprisingly frustrated by the finale.Â
Lincoln's Mom and Mama completely stole the showâpure gold.

The Dugout
I've completely fallen for this seriesâhook, line, and sinker. Once again, it was the female lead who stole the show for me. Her brilliance, raw talent, and undeniable passion for baseball knocked it out of the park and made her the true heartbeat of the story

Honestly, this is the best book in the whole series. The two main characters are perfect together!
I couldn't put it down, and I'm already itching to start it over.Â

SPICE: 2đś RATING: 4.75âď¸, VIBES: âžď¸ Enemies-to-Lovers | Slow Burn | Second Chances | Small Town Feels
Reese Carrington... oh, he's certified book boyfriend material.Â
Caroline, our fierce, hyper-independent FMC, has zero time for Reese or his charm. But don't mistake her walls for coldnessâthis girl is strong, smart, and battling scars we only begin to understand as the story unfolds.
The plot stretches over years, layering tension, misunderstandings, and just enough emotional angst to make your heart ache in the best way. And the chemistry? Whewwwwâslow burn but worth every second.
This book had me rooting, swooning, and maybe yelling once or twice (in love, obviously).
If you love emotional depth, stubborn leads with unresolved feelings, and baseball boys who fall hard for their forever girlâswing away!
