The story of Tara's upbringing [b:Educated 35133922 Educated Tara Westover https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1506026635l/35133922.SY75.jpg 53814228] tells is an interesting look at what it's like to be raised by paranoid religious fundamentalists fearful of legitimate education, but it suffers from a lack of introspection by the author and an unwillingness to examine in detail the ideas which caused her upbringing to be the way it was.
The Passage of Power reads like an epilogue to the excellent Master of the Senate, but it is nevertheless a great read. I couldn't recommend it to people who haven't read the previous three volumes, as it refers to events in those books rather frequently, but it is satisfying for those who have. It's not quite at the same level as those books though. Hopefully we'll be able to get a fifth volume soon!
One of the better novels I've read, My Year of Rest and Relaxation is delightfully absurd, funny, and beautiful.
