Thumbs up! This book reminded me of the Ralph S. Mouse books from Beverly Cleary. This book has a wonderful mystery with a not really surprising end. Still a fabulous read for young and old.

This story follows a beetle named Marvin and a little boy named James. It deals with their trials and tribulations of being friends from 2 different worlds. It also explores the family dynamic for both. Along their journey they discover what it means to be a friend.

Just like the rest of the books of his I have read in this series (includes the first series of Percy Jackson books), I LOVE it!! I can't wait til this fall for the next one. Seriously, I can't! I thought having to wait until now from November was hard, this is gonna be harder. It's so not fair!!

This book is one that can be read if you haven't read the others that featured Percy Jackson, but I wouldn't suggest it. Why? Because it helps give more depth to the character and the frustrations he's dealing with thoughout this story.

Amazing read! Even though the book was written over 100 years ago, it is still an easy read. I think this is a book that everyone should read, but that's just my opinion! It's got something for everyone-love, hate, revenge, all the good stuff!

I found this book through my son's school planner (they have books suggested each week), and this one didn't disappoint(none of them actually has).

The story follows Marty, Grace (who used to think she was Marty's twin, but recently found out she was his cousin), their friend Luther, and a cast of characters on the search for many truths-some in the sea, others from their past.

This is a sequel to another book, but you don't have to have read the first book to know what's going on. And I can't wait to find the next one.

I read this book in an afternoon. I found I had trouble putting it down, and of course I wanted to know how the story ended-other than the Titanic sinking of course! I was a little disappointed, but overall very satisfied.

I have to say this is the best book I've read in ages. I found this book while going though my son's school planner (which has a suggested reading each week). This book is listed as a young adult, but I believe this is more for the teen reader than the younger readers (I'd say ages 14+)

The story follows Mike Scott and how he deals with the most horrible time of his life. Along the way he meets Sarah Francis.

This book was one that I could not put down. But when I did, I wanted to pick it up again. I managed to read it in around 24 hours.

I say this is a must read for all!

Short, easy read. I read this book after my 9 year old son, who is fascinated with all things Titanic. Noow I just have to wait for him to finish reading book 3.

Great, easy read. I am reading it after my 9 year old son, who is fascinated by all things Titanic.

LOVED it!! Too bad I have to wait so long to borrow the second one from the library.

I found this book in my son's school planner (where they have lots of suggested books that follow the monthly theme). I finished it in less than a week, and have now handed it over to my son to read. So far, he seems to be enjoying it as much as I did.

This is a story about William, who is a 10 year-old boy, who is having to deal with growing up and learning to deal with the fact that his primary caregiver of 10 years (his nanny/house-keeper) is leaving and moving back to England.

Do you remember 8th grade, and how you just wanted to fit in with everyone else? That's what Hamlet Kennedy wants too, but well, with a name like Hamlet, she already stands out. Add to the fact that her parents are nuts about Shakespeare (so much so that they dress and talk like they live in the Elizabethan era) and her younger sister is a super genius who has never attended a real school (and is having to attend school to get art credits so she can attend college). Is it any wonder Hamlet feels her life is so tragic?

I think this is a great read for all in junior high school, or those who want to laugh at someone else dealing with it.

It was not as good as the others, but still pretty good. I think that this book should be read before book 5 as that's the way it was written.

OMG!!! This book was amazing!! What a way to conclude the series, or did it?? This was just an amazing read, I can't believe I read it in 4 days.

Another LOVE!! I finished this in under a week (again). The series seems to be popular at my library, so I've had to put the next 2 on hold. I'm hoping to be able to get the next one today when I go.

This one took me a while to get into. While trying to read this one, I managed to finish 2 other books. Just wasn't that enjoyable.

I picked this book up a week ago, and couldn't put it down. I was pleasantly surprised on how easy a read it is. I was worried that it may be a bit “heavy” with mythology references, which this book is not.

I am looking forward to going back to the library and getting the next book in the series...and hopefully the rest of the series as well.

This was my first time reading a book I thought was a sci-fi book. But to me, it's more fantasy. That aside, it was still a great book. Some of it I found a little confusing as I have no previous knowledge of Norse mythology. But at times I think it helped because I didn't have any preconceived notions how the story should go.

Sure Kelly isn't that old, but in her 26 years she has lived quite a life (one that many wish they could be a part of). This book is Kelly's life in her words. I remember watching the Osbournes on MTV, and thinking wow what a family!! After reading this book, I understand a little better what was happening behind the scenes.

I hope that Kelly continues to accept herself for who she is, and tells the rest of the world to kiss off if they don't like her as she is. That's something that many of us could learn to do.

Found the book a little confusing at first as I hadn't read the first book in the series. But as I read the book, I found that it didn't matter. Jane is a great character, her family is desparate for her attention and love but they don't want to accept her being a vampire. At times I wish that Jane would just be “that” girl and demand from Gabriel what's going on, what he's doing.

This was the first book by this author that I read. I was unaware that this was book 7 in a series, and it does stand alone. I may sound a bit morbid, but this book as one of the greatest “death” scenes I have ever read. The book is what I would call a “light” mystery, but I'm ok with that as it still had a fair share of twists and turns. I will most willingly read another book by the author.

I got this for Christmas, I was suprised because I hadn't realized that there was another book. I have to say that I have loved the series from the beginning. Sad to say though that this book has made me lose a little of that love. I can't place my finger on it, but there was something missing.

I enjoyed this story as much as I did when I read Anne of Green Gables last spring. At the time that I got this, I didn't realize that this was the 3rd book in the series. While each book stands alone quite well, it may have helped a bit to relate to some of the characters better had I read the 2nd book. All told, this is still a wonderful story, and part of me cannot believe that I did not read any of these stories when I was younger. I have found them now, and I will enjoy them as I read them.

Again, another wonderfully written book by Louis Sachar. I grabbed this book on a Sunday afternoon and didn't want to put it down (but had to so I could do my duties as a wife and mother), so I finished it on Thursday evening.

This story is sort of a sequel to Holes, but it's main focus this time is Theodore “Armpit” Johnson and how he's trying to put Camp Green Lake behind him. X-Ray is in the story, and in a way an instigator into some of the trouble that Armpit finds himself in, but if it wasn't for X-Ray, Armpit wouldn't have met pop star Kaira DeLeon.

The story was too short in my opinion. I want to know more, what happened to Kaira after Armpit saved her, do they ever meet again, does X-Ray ever get his act together, and what about Ginny?

I basically read this whole book in 3 days. There's a bit of suspense with a bit of romance tossed in. This is a book that's great if someone doesn't like lots of sex scenes as they are few and far between, that's not to say they aren't there but theyre are only 2 that I can remember. The others they just skip from the let's get it on stage to the wow that was great stage.

Thebackground of the story is pretty simple, a 24 year old female with no family is in a fatal car accident, but a secret government agency steps in and saves her life by turning her into the Bionic Woman (her words). She doesn't appreciate what they did to her as no one asked her opinion. She refuses to work for them after what they did to her, but she gives in and does one assignment. Then she gets goaded into doing another assignment, and kicks butt and finds out that she's not alone, that there is another person out there who is “souped up”.

Caitlyn is a smart mouthed, independent person. When she's around the Boss, she wants to kill him for what he “did” to her. When she's around her friend Stacy, she's almost like a mother hen. When she's around Dmitri, she is in love.

I'd love to read more about her adventures!

This was different than I thought it was, and what I'm used to reading. In a way it reminded me a lot of what I had to read in high school.

The style of the story is more narrative than dialogue. The chapters read almost like someone's diary or journal than as a novel. There is dialogue though. The chapters alternate between Jack Stokes and Ruby Pitt Woodrow Stokes. For someone who's not used to hearing a Southern accent some of the words may seem strange to you, but as someone who spent 4 years in North Carolina (where the story is set) I had no trouble with it. This was an easy read, not depressing given the story's ending.

The story tells the lives of Jack Stokes and Ruby Pitt Woodrow Stokes. You learn about who they were before the ever met, you learn how them met, and you learn how they loved. It's a wonderful story with a semi-sad ending.
