This was an okay read, but the power dynamic felt more degrading than compelling to me. The story spent so much time on that intensity only to have an ending that felt incredibly clipped and rushed. Too many questions were left unanswered—like how she even got on his radar—which made the resolution feel hollow.

My Favorite Kidnapper is just a flat-out great, funny story. It follows that classic romance format we all know and love, but it does it so well that you can’t help but enjoy every second.
The humor is spot on, and the romance throughout is lovely. It hits all the right spots without trying too hard, making it a fast-paced and genuinely fun read.

Saint is a standout lead who uses his traumatic past to become a better, more protective man, leading to a hard-earned happy ending. The story is solid, but it suffers from a major continuity error: the dead husband is named Andy in the first chapter and then randomly becomes Jason for the rest of the book. It’s a baffling editing oversight, but the character growth still makes it a great read.

I usually enjoy a "jerk" lead, but this hero was completely irredeemable. Despite the heroine's trauma, he showed zero concern for her feelings and made everything about him all the time. He used his past as a poor excuse for being selfish—it wasn't a "grumpy" vibe, just toxic and frustrating.

North
I wanted to love this, but it fell short for me. While the MC vibes were gritty, the sister-against-sister conflict was frustrating and hard to root for. Even North himself was difficult to like at times—his behavior leaned more toward "toxic" than "alpha protector." It’s a pass for me on this one.

Judge
I loved the stalker energy—Judge didn’t understand his need to "mind" her, but he couldn't look away. Her bravery in taking a chance on something that felt a bit "horrible" made this gritty MC romance a standout. It’s pretty, it’s wrong, and it’s completely addictive.

Surrounded by the Beasts
I really loved this story! It was a really easy, feel-good read. It was great; there was nothing super heavy or dark about it, but it wasn't too light or airy either. It was just that perfect balance of good, simple, easy reading that's entertaining and just fun.

I really wanted to love this book because I adore these tropes, and the premise had so much potential. However, the constant time jumps made the story feel disjointed, and the final twist didn't feel earned or genuine to the characters I started with. I loved the initial strength of the FMC, but by the end, I struggled to stay invested in the journey.

This was an okay read, but the pacing was a bit too slow for my taste—the leads don't even kiss until over 55% of the way through. While I appreciated the "forbidden" premise, some plot points felt unrealistic and a few supporting characters seemed to be there just to tick boxes. It wasn't quite for me, but it might work for readers who love an extremely long slow-burn.
