Fluent in Romance

I just finished rereading this one, and it was just as good the second time. It’s a funny, interesting story that handles the forced proximity trope perfectly.

The best part is definitely the leading lady. She is so refreshing because she’s not afraid to show the world exactly who she is. She never tries to make herself smaller to fit in, and I absolutely love that about her. Watching her go from thinking she’s house-sitting to suddenly being a nurse is such a great setup.

Then you have the hero a typical, possessive alpha which I think is just lovely. He has that "only for her" energy that is honestly amazing to read. If you want a great story with a strong woman and a man who is obsessed with her, you need to check this out.

I didn't like this one which surprised me cause I thought I would. The MMC came across as such a d@#k to me and I hated that Libby just accepted it. I'm not a fan of the way she thought she was in the wrong when she tried to tell her but he kept shutting her down. And then that he let her apologise also it just aggravated me. I don't think this really has any spoilers but I ticked it anyway just in case.

I love an unplanned pregnancy trope. This book was a short one but entertaining. I enjoyed the mild angst from the MMC however I did think the FMC was a great representation of how to handle that. She set her boundaries and stuck to them.

I quite liked this book. I found it funny and sweet but not corny. The meet cute was great and I found the slight alpha behaviour a refreshing change of pace from some of my recent reads. (Still love my dark romance bit sometimes a change is as good as a holiday). I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

I’ve been looking forward to this one since book one; the chemistry between these two was so promising that I couldn't wait to see them get their own story. However, I didn’t love it as much as I hoped I would.

While the suspense elements were definitely interesting and kept the plot moving, the payoff felt like a bit of a letdown. My main struggle, though, was with the character dynamics. It felt like he was essentially getting away with murder, and she just... let it happen. It wasn't an issue for her, and she just continued on as if nothing was wrong.

It might just be a "me" thing, and that’s fine, but I personally needed more pushback or accountability to really buy into their relationship this time around. An okay read, but I wanted a bit more

Stirred is a great, easy read with a plot that flows smoothly. The story isn't overly complicated, and even with several characters, everyone meshes together perfectly. The single-dad dynamic and the slight second-chance feel kept me interested, and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

While it was a solid "ok" read, the sheer speed and constant influx of plot points kept it from reaching its full potential. Perfect for readers who want a quick-burn that never slows down for a second.

This forced marriage mafia romance was a truly solid read, but for me, the absolute highlight was the character development. While the story is packed with suspense that keeps the pace moving perfectly—not too long and not too short—the real magic was in the relationship. I loved watching the FMC’s transformation; she starts off meek and mild, but with the MMC’s support, she discovers a fierce inner strength and finally finds her voice.

On the flip side, seeing her be the only one capable of softening his "demons" was so satisfying. He’s a dark character who wouldn't have understood love without her, and that "only she can change him" dynamic was written beautifully.

The plot includes a great twist that definitely keeps things interesting, and it wraps up nicely without leaving you frustrated by unanswered questions. If you love a story where the emotional growth is just as intense as the mafia stakes, you need to check this one out.
