Executive Summary: This has long since been my favorite book in the series, and each re-read seems to only reinforce it. I think the easiest way for me to describe it is “The Empire Strikes Back” of Harry Potter. It's much darker and doesn't have the sort of “Happy Ending” of the first 3 books. It really is a turning point to the series which sets the tone for the final 3 books.Jim Dale Audio Book: Another great reading by Jim Dale. And apparently that's as much as I wrote at the time I listened to this one. Though by this point in the series, that should probably be obvious. Stephen Audio Book: Similarly, it's another great job by Mr. Fry. I can't really choose between the two readers, and really why should you? Go read this book/series!This book has so many elements that make it my favorite. As a fan of Quidditch (and really, who isn't?) to open this book with the Quidditch world cup! Which was nice since there is no Quidditch tournament at Hogwarts in this book. Plus I never saw the twist of him being a Death Eater in disguise at the end coming on my first read.Overall I enjoyed the much darker tone of this book as Harry and his friends not only have to struggle with all the comes with becoming an adult, but are forced to face very adult problems that would leave many others in a quivering heap.Not to mention that this book ends with the return of Voldemort and his death eaters
