I love Matt Ruff's style and the beginning was super compelling but the ending was a total clusterfuck to be completely honest. I was torn between giving this is 3 or 4, so for the sake of being nice I'll round up. Super quick read if you're looking to burn through something on a weekend.
Phenomenally entertaining, but the last part does not work on any level. The ending is almost literally that it was all a dream, only that the protagonist's entire personality was also “dreamt”. Too silly.
I enjoyed this quirky, amusing book about good, evil, reality and fiction. I especially liked Jane's interactions with her instructors.
