What a delight! Love to see myself represented as a small bunny with anxiety!
I think this is a super-friendly comic book for children of all age groups; especially, beginners who are first starting to learn how to read. The story does a great job of hitting on some pretty difficult topics; such as depression, the feeling of loneliness, and the importance of true friendship. Throughout the book, the reader is introduced to Cat, a coffee shop owner. Cat takes a lot of pride in providing top-notch service for all the guests who look at the coffee shop as a safe haven and as the epicenter for the growth of new budding friendships. Cat hires the first employee, Rabbit, who really looks up to Cat as a mentor.
The book is broken up with many activities along the way, which not only stimulates the mind but makes things more fun and interesting for young readers. The creativity and artistic flow of the illustrations add to the overall experience and enjoyment of the story.
sick of living in the real world (terrible, filled with awful humans, my mail carrier isn't a platypus), moving to this world instead (cozy, everyone is cute and supportive, mail carrier is a platypus)
needed some comfort after this week and this provided. imagine a world where people cared about one another and everyone was considerate and empathetic and also everyone was an adorable animal...truly paradise. 4 overly-caffeinated penguins out of 5.
