I love Julian, I don't like BJ at all. Julian and Magnolia all the way. I love Daisy and Christian. I like how Daisy came around to Magnolia.
Oh my gosh... that ENDING!
I can't wait for the next book.

Possible Spoilers for the Magnolia Parks Universe:
I'm not sure when I will recover from this book. This series in general! I feel like I've grown so attached to these characters and their stories, and now I am in pain that I have to wait for another book to be released. Magnolia Parks: The Long Way Home gave us Magnolia and BJ's POVs for most of the events in this book, but seeing it from Daisy, Julian, and Christian's POV added so much more depth to the plot and character development. Jessa Hastings does a phenomenal job at making sure we know the story from multiple sides. One second I love one character for someone and the next I'm rooting for another because of the details their POVs add. I can't deny that this series is an emotional roller coaster, but seriously in the best way! I've developed such a soft spot for Julian and Christian, and I honestly don't know when I will get over the emotional ride that was the last 20% of this book. Each book in this series gets better and better, and I don't know if I can pick of favorite at this moment. I cannot recommend this series enough for lovers of found family, scandal, Gossip Girl type of vibes but better and more toxic (in a good way). I cannot thank Teresa enough for peer pressuring me into starting this series and always being available in DMs for support. And also Ashley for dealing with my Tuesday afternoon emotional turmoil as I was finishing this book today. This book and series is New Adult, 18+ for sexual content and themes.
More of a 3.5/3.75 sadly (since the first three have all been 5⭐️ for me)
I love being back with these characters, but unfortunately I feel like this book suffered from the trend of jumping back in time to see prior book's events from different character's POV.
As in Daisy Haites 1, I loved seeing Daisy and Christian's story, but I felt like Julian (and Magnolia, as a result) really overshadowed them here. I didn't really feel like it was necessary to see pretty much all of Julian and Magnolia's interactions from the prior book in his POV. I feel like a good amount of his chapters could have been cut in order to see more of Daisy and Christian, or even just Daisy and Julian having more interactions. I felt like I had a pretty good understanding of how he felt towards Magnolia just from their interactions in The Long Way Home. There was some payoff at the very end, but I just feel like too many pages were spent rehashing the prior book, and I actually got annoyed at Julian and Magnolia (and I've loved both characters in prior books!)
I'm hoping that maybe some of the things that bothered me will have payoff in Into the Dark, though. I still enjoyed the book overall, but wish we had spent more time with the central couple.
