Since the book is the second or middle book of a trilogy series; some things are forgivable. However, one thing has to be said, it felt very much like the beginning of the book uptill the end. Reveals of plot points seemed like nothing major, it was very boring in a sense. Series like Harry Potter was written in a way where each book could be read as a standalone, this book was unable to replicate that feeling. Pergeps it did not intend to do so. With all that said, I think the book could have been more important, the story lines make it feel like something that can be skipped altogether and still have no trouble reading the last book of the series.
