When his inept but good-hearted human companion moves them into a dishevelled flat in a crumbling building, Francis, a pernickety and discerning cat, is none too pleased. Worse is to follow. There's a corpse in the garden — a cat with its throat ripped out. Staring mournfully at the bloody remains is a strangely mutilated Maine coon. This lop-sided beast thinks humans were responsible for the death of his friend. Francis takes a closer look at the corpse and reckons otherwise.
