This book starts off exactly like I expected, with Nicholas's disbelief that his nemesis who was supposed to be at the rival school is now his roommate and Seiji even refusing to recognize Nick. We also get introduced to a lot of other fencers, all of whom are now going to compete with each other to make it to the team.
Coach Williams seems like a formidable woman and I have a feeling that none of the bullying tactics of some players are gonna work around her. Bobby is the cutest guy with heart eyes for Seiji and I'm very excited to see how good a fencer he is. Nick is feeling a little intimidated because he is not used to the wonderful training facilities but his confidence is his major asset. Aiden seems like a charmer and I'm hopeful he'll show up in the next book.
The artwork is on point and I really liked a few characters. The panels with Bobby's imagination are especially lovely and Nicholas looks very dapper in his school uniform. He is also being slightly flirty towards Bobby and I'm totally digging it. The banter between Nick and Seiji is so much fun to read about and now that the competition is heating up, I can't wait to read what all of them will do to outmaneuver each other.
