Have you ever heard of the old Celtic legends of the fae—beautiful, magical, and deadly, with a love of messing with humans just for kicks and giggles? Welcome to my world. What started out as a strange assignment leads to one of the most gruesome murder mysteries of our times, and my friends and I are determined to find out who is killing off fae and witches alike? Couple of problems in the way—I hate the Fae and the Prince of the Dark Fae is bound and determined that I work for him. He’s a rude, overbearing, egotistical being with a compulsive need to possess, dominate, and control me. Oh—did I mention he’s absolutely sex-on-a-stick gorgeous, and he makes me feel things that I never ever wanted to feel for a Fae . . . every time he touches me or looks at me with those golden eyes seems to pull me further in under his spell, despite my better judgment. My friends and I can’t trust anyone and nothing is as it seems on the surface—not even me.
This book is dark paranormal with heat, and strong situations. The hero is an alpha-hole, who is about to meet his match.

I really thought about wheather I was gonna give it one or two stars...
I was not worth it, but it got me out of my reading block.
Still, the plot was good but the writing and world building and hierarchies... it was a fat nope.
Do not let this stop you from reading the book tho, you never know what you're gonna find yourself liking.

WHAT. IN. THE. WORLD?! You can't just END a book like that! WHAT IS THIS?! I don't understand why authors do this to us .-. . If you're an author, chances are, you're a book fanatic too, right? And that means you've got to hate cliffhangers too RIGHT?! So that should mean we readers don't have to suffer cliffhangers RIGHT?! Well...WRONG...apparently.
Well...I think I'll just keep this spoiler free, otherwise I'm just going to dissect every little event that pissed me off in this book, and believe me-there were a lot. All I can really say is I think this book could've been so much better than it actually was. But I do have to rant a little, or at least proclaim to the world my dissatisfaction at that one person dying. I mean, why? I don't understand. What purpose did that serve in the grand scheme of things? And now that other person's going to be basically having sex with everything with a pulse because the aforementioned person is dead and the former-former person isn't what we thought that person was this whole time-anyways, that whole thing was just crappy. DO YOU READ ME?! I DIDN'T LIKE IT.
-sigh- At least Ryder and Syn have come a long time...kind of. Maybe. Sort of? Though I'm still doubting whether or not I should pick up the next book. On one hand, that CLIFFHANGER. On the other, all that suffering that seems pretty pointless to me right now. Oh I'm more or less sure that that person's death serves some bigger purpose (maybe) in all this, but right now, I don't see any reason for why the author killed that person off. I DON'T UNDERSTAND.
So...eh. Who knows. Maybe I'll read the next book. Maybe I won't.
