A witty, charming romantic comedy where love reaches the "other side" by award winning author Sarah Ready.

I just finished Ghosted by Sarah Ready @sarahreadyauthor and here are my thoughts.
Jillian isn't living her best life. She is working in a job giving relationship advice when she can't even bring herself to talk in front of any men but that all changes when she moves into her new apartment and a man, Daniel appears in her home, shirtless, sexy and not corporeal.
Daniel doesn't seem to want to believe he is dead but for some reason seems to think he and Jillian matter to each other even though Jillian doesn't recognize him. That's not even the strangest part, by some miracle, she finds it easy to talk to him.
Once Daniel is over the shock of being dead, he believes his afterlife mission is to fix Jillian's love life before he can move on. He can't make it any worse so she agrees but what do you do when you find yourself falling for the only man on the planet you know you can't have?
I really enjoyed this book. It was different from the books I usually read and made from some really funny and adorable moments. I just have one question.. Why was he shirtless? He doesn't die shirtless.. I know his billboard picture is shirtless (slight spoiler haha) but it wasn't a defining moment in his life to be the reason his ghost is shirtless....
The only part in the book and literally the only reason it lost a half a star was the weird not sex scene in the book. It was weird for me, I get why the author added it but it took from the tone of the book because their connection before that was already so intense I think it was unnecessary but otherwise, excellent writing and I was super entertained from start to finish.
This might be one of the best indie books I have ever read.
I loved all the characters and the banter. It was one of my most touching books of the year. One I will definitely recommend! And the second epilogue just about unhinged me...
4.5 stars. Thank you @netgalley and @ibpalovesindies for my gifted copy!

This was like a mash-up of Ashley Poston's Dead Romantics AND 7-year-slip with a better crafted narrative.
