"A complete learning experience for creating industry standard Web pages - but you won't be just reading: you'll be playing games, solving puzzles, pondering mysteries and creating Web pages like you never imagined. You'll be also learning how HTML works with CSS ... if you're going to create Web pages in the 21st century, then you want to know and to understand CSS, too."

Excellent - the way the book's been put together uses ‘the latest research in cognitive science and learning theory...' - which basically means this is really easy to work through and absorb.
Great format - very easy to read and understand, and the information really sticks with you. I would recommend these Head First books to anybody interested in getting involved in working with HTML, XHTML and CSS.
Only 4 stars, however, for starting with HTML and not using strict XHTML requirements (for example, not teaching the need to close single tags until midway through the book) - why teach something and then add the caveat later that the instructions were incomplete?
