I didn't think this was as good as the first one in this series, but it was still pretty good.
I am not overly crazy about this cover. The guy is NOTHING like how I pictured Ryan, and again the title of the book should be the most prominent text on the cover. The author's name a tagline is too big and having it placed in the middle draws the eye to there instead of to the title where it should be drawn to.
I enjoyed this one a lot more than I did book one. The pacing was better. The plot had more depth. The characters were more developed. Ryan wasn't a creeper like Oz. Well, he wasn't until he unveiled his bedroom wallpapered with photos of Paige from over the years. That seemed a bit Datelineish but what the hell we can't all be perfect. Paige had much more personality and brains than Mallory.
My only complaint is that I wish we would have gotten more angst after Paige found out Ryans secret. That is just a personal preference I enjoy a book more when things are not forgiven in five minutes flat. To that end, I also thought the whole thing with her father was wrapped up a tad bit too quickly, and it dragged a bit after that. The epilogues were cute, though.
Overall though I enjoyed this one so two thumbs up from yours truly.
