I suggest this book if you are a fan of an author included in the anthology. If you aren't a fan, the drop in world building can make you stumble, but you might find new authors to read. I read this for Kim Harrison's Two Ghosts for Sister Rachel. It felt like coming home to friends I've missed since The Hollows ended. I don't think I'm ever going to find a series that has effected me as much as The Hollows. I also enjoyed The Harvest by Vicki Petersson, which made me interested in her Zodiac series, but the other two stories were a bit too sexy for me. I don't like random instant love/attraction relationships in my books.
I really enjoyed three of these stories. I'm venturing out into new territory as I am learning to love Fantasy. I've only read mysteries and contemporary books before. I have found I love Kim Harrison. Her story, Two Ghosts for Sister Rachel, was a fun read. I also enjoyed the story about Six by Marjorie M. Liu. I wished there were more! I have ordered another book by Liu. The story by Vicki Pettersson was hard for me to wrap my head around at first but I was able to get into it and enjoyed it. I will look into her as well to see what else she has written. Sorry Lynsay Sands, I didn't like the corniness of Run, Run, Rudolph but I am sure other people will. You can't please everyone.
