My expectations were completely blown out of the water with ‘Into The Wild'. I didn't want it to end, and has to be one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful books I've ever read. I teared up multiple times when reading and that really doesn't happen to me.

I was expecting a slow monotonous tale of Chris's journey in chronological order, but what I found was a beautiful account of his life, told by those who knew him, and comparisons between him and others who've left everything for the wilderness and reasons why they do it. I don't really have any words to describe how sad this book is, but it's absolutely worth reading and is also a hundred times better than the film.

I'm going to remember this for a long time.
