Well, I should have given more, if only author didn't made rude comments on Hindu's tradition but still sell and write about Hindu mythology.
Sad 😟
This one will take more than one reading. There's a lot that needs to be absorbed and reflected upon.
Some known stories, some unknown, but I really enjoyed reading the book. Even though many may not agree with several of the author's footnotes at the end of each tale, I felt some of them offered a new perspective with which we view the timeless Mahabharata epic. I especially loved how the author has correlated the stories with the prevalent conditions and cultures in the society of that period, especially the rise and fall of matriarchal notions in our culture.
