Sarah Nickerson is like any other career-driven supermom. A self-confessed balloon about to burst she manages every minute of her life like an air traffic controller. Until one fateful day while driving to work and making a phone call she looks away from the road for one second too long. In the blink of an eye a traumatic injury erases the left side of her world bringing all the rapidly moving parts of Sarah's jam-packed life to a screeching halt.

There are so many books on my TBR list, and I'm currently reading 2 others, but I loved this book when I read it 8 1/2 years ago and the nerdy brain science loving part of me that was awakened this year after my incident is craving all this book has to offer. It's such an interesting and poignant story.
This is such a great book! I'm so glad I read it again! This time I also listened to the audio version that I borrowed via Libby while simultaneously reading the text on my Nook app. There are sad moments and happy little victories that teach us how much we take for granted each day. I'd definitely recommend this to my like-minded book friends. There is no doubt in my mind that I'll pull this out again in a few years to read for the 3rd time.
An incredibly interesting book about a condition I had never heard of before. I even googled it to see if it was real. I love that the story was told through the eyes of the main character as it made it easier to stare in her triumphs and frustrations.
The story moved along quickly and I would recommend this as a great summer read.
