"Samantha Irby explodes onto the printed page with her debut collection of brand-new essays about trying to laugh her way through failed relationships, being black, taco feasts, bouts with Crohn's disease, and more. Every essay is crafted with the same scathing wit and poignant candor thousands of loyal readers have come to expect from visiting her notoriously hilarious blog, bitchesgottaeat.com"--Page 4 of cover.

Absolutely hi-la-rious! Randomly bought it while in London for a couple of days, and was awkwardly trying not to gigglesnort while on the subway
I didn't realize this was a reprint of an earlier book. I hadn't read it before, but it was a little confusing to me because I read (and loved) [b:We Are Never Meeting In Real Life 33381433 We Are Never Meeting In Real Life Samantha Irby https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1530160228s/33381433.jpg 54123625] which is also autobiographical essays, and then I thought this was newer but everything in it is like...earlier in time. So anyway if you can read copyright dates or whatever that won't be an issue for you!Anyway, she did have a note explaining that these have been revised/polished since their initial publication (which I did read but assumed meant from when they were on her blog or something? Not like, when they were published in 2013? but ok). But they still feel pretty unpolished? Like I enjoyed reading them and I, as always, enjoyed the raw honesty but, well, it's not as good as her 2nd book. Which is good–she's grown as a writer! I just thought this was her 2nd book! And it's not! So be advised I guess?!
